Update on the sale of Chelsea FC.

Tuesday 22nd march 2022.

The Raine group, the US bank handling the sale of Chelsea, could be in a position to take their preferred bidder to the government for approval by the end of this week if the process moves smoothly over the next 48 hours. Potential buyers spent monday waiting anxiously to find out if they had made it to the next stage of the process. Raine have been assessing the merits of each bidder since the deadline to make offers for Chelsea passed last friday and the expectation is that the bank will have reduced the field to a shortlist of three groups by wednesday morning at the latest.

The sale of the iconic football club, Chelsea FC.

The gossip in London on the sports scene is what is going to happen to Chelsea FC. Will stamford bridge survive the current situation. Will the club be sold, and to the right buyer or will Chelsea FC go into administration. All the questions are being asked, but no answers have been given as at 1.30pm today monday 21st march 2022. There are so many problems to sort out and the fans want to know what is going on. The players are in limbo and it looks at the moment the club will lose some great players. The manager Thomas Tuchel has stuck with the club and has been outstanding in the dugout and off the field. Very, very worrying times for this great football club. As a supporter i hope the situation changes for the better and soon. We will have to wait and see amid all the gossip.

How to spoil yourself on pancake day in London.

London's best pancakes. When a restaurant, bar or cafe has the word "best" labelled on it, two things come to mind. One it must be exceptional and two is it really that good, or is someone bluffing ? For the ultimate pancake get on down to Soho, there you will find part of the Australian food chain Scarlett green. It was rumoured Scarlett green served the best pancakes in the city of London, so it was only fair we tested them out. Scarlett green is located on Noel street in the heart of Soho, when you enter it reminds you of an Aussie beach bar and you think is this a mistake. From the menu we picked buttermilk blueberry pancakes (priced at £11.60). We had not been waiting long before the pancakes arrived, and my god, were we in for a treat. The stack of batter was piled high with huge amounts of icing sugar, dusted blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. The pancakes came with a mini saucepan of hot maple syrup. The food was the best looking plates we had ever seen. When you cut into them you will get a forkful of unbelievable flavour. They were fresh, they were fluffy, and they certainly live up to their title of the best pancakes in the city of London. Spoil yourself go and try them out. (Delish).

Fire works in London !!

The Gunpowder Plot.

Remember, remember the 5th of November.

Bonfire night is an old tradition of the infamous plot to kill King James the first. Also known as Guy Fawkes night named after one of the small group of Catholics plotting to blow up the houses of parliament during the official state opening ceromany on the 5th November 1605. The Catholics wanted to replace the King and the only way to do so was to kill him. They set about their work during the evening of the 4th November 1605, breaking into the basement of the houses of parliament and placing 30 or so barrels of gunpowder in the basement. The plot was uncovered by a member of parliament who interupted a letter sent by a member of the group to his friend stating not to attend the ceromany due to the action being taken. Most of the gang escaped, Guy Fawkes was caught guarding the 30 or so barrels and the rest of the gang were eventually caught and sentenced to death. Back in that time it was the British tradition of being hung, drawn and quartered. To celebrate his survival King James the first created the observance of the 5th November Act a holiday it is celebrated to this day with bonfires, fireworks and mulled wine to keep out the cold autumn night. Children create Guy Fawkes scarecrows that are placed on the bonfire and burnt. Most villages or towns throughout England will have arranged events to attend. London will spoil you rotten with choices. Here are some of many in London. Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival, Musical Firework displays; Wimbledon Park and Morden Park, Battersea Fireworks.
